I received a cruel note from Assfault this week in which he referred to me as "Rhindhole". Apparently something I wrote last week offended Scott. Really, I didn't say that he was Asswipe in week 2. I did say that he looked like Asswipe in week 2. Anyway, he wrote something about revenge being sweet. I assume that that will be a week when Jacky is making the picks!
Beau The Dope also wrote in after last week. Kneel said, "B the D says "Damn the A--hole who invented the prevent defense and the idiots that implement it.""
I arrived home just prior to the MNF games kicking off and looking at things I noticed that there were 7 franchises that had a streak of 3 top picks correct. Of course that group was reduced to 6 after the MNF games (I note bitterly). There are 7 franchises that have not yet picked their 16 point game correctly. The rest of us were somewhere in between these two extremes. With this extreme failure rate I don't think anybody is out of the running for the $110.00 Streak prize yet.
I have little hope but maybe now that my grand dog has been returned to her home I will be able to improve my results. Just like silent farts I blame my mediocre results on the poor dog. Maybe I should have kept her, she came in handy at times.
The Monica Award - I don't think Murmann can be too upset that he did not score 2 more points. Really,
all he would have won would be a third share of 4th place but this way he gets solo possession of this weeks little loved Monica Lewinski,
close but no cigar award.
The POW Award - It was clear cut who deserved this week's POW award. The Killer Whale was the only one in the group astute enough to back the New York Football Giants to upset the heavily favoured Cleveland Browns. Well done Van! I would also like to send a little sugar (even though I am bitter about it) to those who took the Washington team (whatever their name is now) to best the Bengals. Well done all of you
The Celler Dweller - Watt's Up earned 95 points this week. Geofferson Starship must have been in outer space when he made his picks - he earned 30 points. There is nothing more you can say.
Without further ado, this weeks winners, and we honour and congratulate them are....
1st - Watt's Up- Mike did not respond to his EofH but for this week he, like his team the Steelers, is a winner
2nd - Sassy Chassis - Krystal is already winning money for the season. She did not respond to her EofH so I am not sure what she thinks of that. Will she now be content to coast the rest of the season. We sure hope so!3rd - Rusty - Russ responded to his EofH, "It would be great to see the Brown brothers win two weeks in a row! The one week I do my picks on Tuesday and decide not to change anything I end up in the money!" Well, he did not win the week but anytime you end up on the podium it is a pretty good week.
4th (T) - D-Man - Darin's response, Two game’s tonight which is rare for MNF,different scenarios for D-man,for sure!Funny quote from a past GM’ We can’t win at home.We can’t win on the road. 4th (T)- Muttley - Sandra responded, "Woof woof woof. Early kibble ". Not enough to make the year a success but enough for Tin Cup elimination.
