Now would be the time of year when you should start thinking about your winnings. You may as well skip this paragraph BadGasBrown. If you wish to leave winnings up to next years entry fee on your account please let our treasurer, The Chainman know. If you wish your winnings delivered to you, or if you have won more than next years entry please let Doug know where and how to send them. If you wish to donate your winnings to the "Save the Starving Rhino" fund please let me know and I will arrange for medical intervention and a psychiatric examination.

It is unlikely but wouldn't it be amusing if Joe Flacco somehow led Cleveland to a Super Bowl victory. It would set up a pretty interesting quarterback controversy, to say the least. The sexual predator Deshawn Watson has a guaranteed contract worth $230 Million which is a lot more than Flacco is making. I am not sure exactly how much more but I am sure that Flacco has had a lot more production for a lot less money. In the meantime Baker Mayfield who the Browns cast aside is now looking at least viable in Tampa Bay and heading into week 16 it looks likely they they will possibly win their division with him at the helm.

After her dismal showing last week (not to revive painful memories but she earned only 320 points) Muttley wrote to me Another stupid week....grrrrrr! Well Sassychassis who scored 762 points did not think it was a stupid week Sandra. Pickle who earned 724 points was not complaining and there was no whinging from D-Man who got his first winnings of the season with his 708 point week. Possibly it was not the week that was stupid Sandra but rather the choices that you made last week. Of course your choices were no worst than mine because we both won had the same winnings. The only difference was that you got the recognition of the CD award.

Just to let you know - I will not be adding TTTMan to the "10 Worst Seasons" area of the HOF at the end of the season. Frank has not entered pick in the last 8 weeks of the season. As he has not responded to queries I do not know if he has health problems or has just lost interest or what the problem is but do not feel that not participating in half the season warrants inclusion in any HOF area.

Entering the last week of the season the Green Giant, Killer Whales, Big Head and Rotter are leading the pool with D-Man, Friendly Manitoban, Dobies and others lurking within striking distance. It should be fun trying to make picks on a week where you wonder who will be resting players and who is motivated and who is already thinking of golf. Enjoy!

The Monica Award - Fat Tony ended up 10 points from the money this week. At first glance it looked like his week was destroyed by the Eagles but their loss actually helped hime. A win by the Raiders or Titans would have put him on the podium.

The POW Award - It was a weak week in the battle for this week's much loved POW award. The 6 Franchises that picked the Saints to upset the Bucs narrowly edged out the 8 that backed the Steelers to win. This week we honour BadGasBrown. Genomania, Jamacia Flava, Murrman, the Squash Brothers and the Big Bad B's. Well done all of you.

The Celler Dweller - If the Vikings had pillaged successfully on the Sunday night game Sassychassis would have gone from the penthouse to the outhouse in 6 short days but lucky for Krystal that did not happen. The Packers eked out a victory and the Jetpicker ended the calendar year in his rightful place at the bottom of the pool. Andrew earned 348 points which is less then half of what the winner Dobies earned (730). A truly dismal way to celebrate the New Year.

Without further ado, this weeks winners, and we honour and congratulate them are....

1st - Dobies - No need to whinge about the year now Doug. You have won your entry back. Well done!

2nd - Green Giant - There is an old joke that I cannot repeat here about the needy and the greedy. Guess which catagory you are in Steve

3rd - Big Head - This is enough to make it a break even season. Good on you Brett.

4th - Grampie Bear - It is not a lot of money but this is Fred's first ever winnings in the pool. The first time is always special.

This week I have a quote from Dave Barry who once said, "Thus the metric system did not really catch on in the States, unless you count the increasing popularity of the nine-millimeter bullet."

       'Til next week then...
